Location:
LSU Sugar Cane Research Station,
5575 LSU AG RD, St Gabriel LA 70776. This training center is located on LA Hwy 30
(Nicholson Ave) a few miles south of Gardere Lane and about 12 miles
south of the LSU Baton Rouge DEAF Valley LSU Stadium. This location is about 3
football fields from the big giant Entergy smokestack. Look on the river side of
Nicholson for some box cars parked along the railroad. You will see a sign for
the LSU Research Center and a sign for smoke school.

The Whitlow Team includes 3 retired
Louisiana DEQ Inspectors or Environmental Managers with over 100 years combined
environmental experience. Learn from experienced inspectors. Most of you
remember when George Whitlow conducted smoke school for Louisiana DEQ for 20
years. Some of you remember when David Hughes and James Gipson conducted the
smoke school before I got there. The team includes the following retired DEQ
inspectors: George Whitlow- Baton Rouge, Lloyd
Blount- Baton Rouge, and Paul Laird- Monroe.
Attention all
contact personnel: Please make sure to relay all of the information about smoke
school to your employees. Be sure to include the agenda, driving directions and
what to bring. If your employees do not have access to the internet, you should
print the information and distribute it to the employees. Otherwise you can
simply email the specific links to your employees. I appreciate your
cooperation.
The report time for each day is 8 AM.
When you register please include the day you want to attend. We should be
finished with the field-testing by 11:30 AM each day. If all of your personnel
can not attend the 8 AM session, please include this information on your

people who need the classroom for the first field session at 8 AM.

When
you arrive at the LSU Office stop by and pick up the key the day before the
school. Make arrangements to have the security guard leave the gate open for the
night school on the first day of training only. When you reserve the park,
inform the office that we need the security guard to leave the gate open the
first night for night training.

PCS Nitrogen is registered for this school. They are under a grant from Wolf
Creek. Wolf creek requires certain forms to be filled out. Before the school
please download the attached forms, print them and pass them out to PCS
Nirtrogen employees before the school. Please
