The Whitlow Team includes 4 retired Louisiana DEQ Inspectors or Environmental Managers with over 100 years combined environmental experience. Learn from experienced inspectors. Most of you remember when George Whitlow conducted smoke school for Louisiana DEQ for 20 years. Some of you remember when David Hughes and James Gipson conducted the smoke school before I got there. The team includes the following retired DEQ inspectors: George Whitlow- Baton Rouge, David Hughes- Baton Rouge, Lloyd Blount- Baton Rouge, and Paul Laird- Monroe.

This school is very convenient for the companies in Westlake, Sulfur, Beaumont, and Baytown Texas. You can earn an EPA Method 9 certificate in the time it takes to drive to the Louisiana DEQ School.

Attention all contact personnel: Please make sure to relay all of the information about smoke school to your employees. Be sure to include the agenda, driving directions and what to bring. If your employees do not have access to the internet, you should print the information and distribute it to the employees. Otherwise you can simply email the specific links to your employees. I appreciate your cooperation.

The report time for each day is 8 AM. When you register please include the day you want to attend. We should be finished with the field-testing by 11:30 AM each day. If all of your personnel can not attend the 8 AM session, please include this information on your Registration form or  Contact us email or phone ahead of time and we will be more than happy to add additional test sessions during the day if needed. Please send all people who need the classroom for the first field session at  8 AM.
