West Monroe Louisiana or Odon, Indiana. 

Note: You can avoid the additional fees of a 2 day school by having a one day school with two sessions- morning and afternoon.

Free smoke school- government grants for reimbursement of smoke school fees and fees for all of the training for your employees.

Standard fees for private smoke 2-day schools

1. Classroom only- $125 per person    (EPA recommends the classroom for first time attendees and every 3rd year thereafter)
2. Field-test certification only- $250 per person    (EPA requires this EPA Method 9 field-training  every 6 months to maintain opacity smoke reader certification)
3. Both class and field- $375 per person
4. Optional nighttime certification- $250 per person additional- you must take daytime certification as well
5. Discount for 20 people- 10%
6. More than 20 attendees call for pricing.

1. Mileage 55 cents per mile round trip. This is the current IRS rate. We have 2 locations to use as a  point of origin.
2. Our travel per diem- $300 per day school days and round trip travel days (includes 3 employees for field-test or 1 employee for classroom only)
3. Salary $480 per day/  This salary includes both school days and round trip travel days. We travel 8 hours per day. (includes 3 employees for field-test or 1 employee for classroom only)

Note: If the private school is scheduled convenient to an open school in the area, then the mileage is round trip from the last open school to the next school or to the home office.

Note waiver of mileage fees: When the attendance at a school reaches 20 people from your plant or other plants, and the location is 8 hours or less from one of our offices or our last open smoke school, then we will wave the mileage fees. 

Note: If we conduct just a classroom, we may fly one employee to your location and invoice you for actual travel cost.

In some cases, we have been asked to come to a plant just to perform Method 22 or Visible Emissions familiarization training, or other training, speaking arrangements, or lectures that do not involve transporting our Method 9 Smoke Generator trailer to the site. On these occasions we fly and your company will be responsible for the cost of the tickets.

Sometimes plants like to have private smoke schools at the plant if they need to train 14 people or more. if you don't have 20 people to train, but you would like to see a Whitlow smoke school in your area you could get together with some of your friends at the other plants in the area.
