What are the smoke school standards?

Smoke school principals are based on memorizing what smoke looks like at 0 %, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% opacity looks like. The opacity is determined  by reading the background.  The smoke may look different on given days depending on several factors such as sun position, or cloud conditions We all know what 0 % and 100 % looks like. The following links show what 25%, 50% and 75%  looks like under the right conditions with a contrasting background
