Whitlow Enterprises has over 100 years combined experience in environmental enforcement and over 100 years combined experience reading opacity, attending smoke school, or conducting smoke school. Paul Laird, and I are all retired from the Louisiana DEQ where we attended smoke school, conducted inspections that required opacity readings, conducted smoke school, or performed as upper level management for the department. I have been conducting smoke school since 1984, either as a Louisiana DEQ state employee for 500 attendees or as the owner of our professional smoke school provider company since September 2001. We have 2 smoke school crews that can operate independently on a given project. All field staff team members have participated in semiannual smoke schools in 100 locations mostly east of the Mississippi River and all over Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana. We are proud to have trained Arkansas DEQ since 2002. Louisiana DEQ still has a private smoke school for all state employees.
Why is Whitlow so much better than all of the other smoke school providers?
